Personalized Text Banner Tutorial

INSTRUCTIONS:
STEP ONE:
Choose your phrase and cut out a rectangle for each letter.
Cut your rectangles into letters
Adjust any letters that look out of place. I recut the “IT’S” to be a bit smaller to fit the layout better
STEP TWO:
Measure your layout and add 10” to the height and width to determine your canvas size.
Cut a rectangle of canvas to size.
STEP THREE:
Fold each side in 2.5” and iron to crease.
Trim the corners on a 45 degree angle 1/2” short of where the creased folds meet
Fold the edges in 1/2” all the way around and iron.
Fold the sides in along the first creased folds and sew the border close to the edges, pivoting at the corners.
STEP FOUR:
Arrange your letters on the banner, remove the adhesive backing, and stick them down.
STEP FIVE:
Measure in 1” from the corner and mark.
Cut a hole large enough for your grommet to fit through.
Follow the directions on your grommet packing to hammer the grommet in place.
STEP SIX:
Hang and enjoy!
